Learn more about Women's Health
Women’s health at NewYork-Presbyterian covers a wide array of services, including general gynecologic care, diagnosis and treatment of gynecologic cancers, pregnancy care, including for women who are high-risk, perinatal care, and reproductive assistance. Here, you’ll learn about advances in caring for high-risk expectant moms and a one-of-a-kind Mothers Center to treat them, plus five breastfeeding myths our healthcare teams debunk. We teach you about endometriosis and how to identify its symptoms, plus lay out what you should know about heart disease in women. Our staffers also are worthy of highlighting. Here, we introduce you to Dr. Mary D’Alton, a national leader in efforts to reduce maternal deaths; Dr. Roshni Rao, chief of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center’s Breast Surgery Program; and Verena Salvi, LMSW, who goes the distance for domestic violence survivors.
