Serving Our Communities: A Year in Review
A look back at NewYork-Presbyterian’s efforts in 2023 to support our communities.
Caring for all New Yorkers — whether it’s within our hospitals and doctors’ offices or out in the community — has always been a priority across NewYork-Presbyterian. With the help of our dedicated team members and incredible community partners, we are committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve and increasing access to health and wellness resources.
This past year, we’ve participated in nearly 1,400 community events, reaching 150,000 people through support groups, food drives, health fairs and screenings, webinars, and more.
As we reflect on 2023, here is a snapshot of what we accomplished:
- Partnered with 300 community-based organizations
- Distributed 2 million pounds of food in the New York region
- Held 23 free flu shot clinics
- Provided 5 pop-up health clinics for asylum seekers
- Served more than 10,000 children through youth development programs
- Held events in more than 10 languages, including: Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Haitian Creole, and American Sign Language
